Product Description

LP95 "Deep garnet in color with a touch of brick, the 2002 Opus One bursts with creme de cassis, blackberry preserves, and sandalwood notes, followed by hints of bay leaves, cigar box, and tilled soil, plus a waft of tree bark. The medium to full-bodied palate is jam packed with black and blue fruits, supported by plush tannins and compelling freshness, finishing long and earthy." LPB for TWI Jan 2023

AG95 "The 2002 Opus One is a big step up from the 2001. Freshly cut flowers, juicy raspberries, anise and sweet spices literally jump from the glass in an Opus One that is all about opulence and huge, voluptuous fruit. Juicy, vibrant and impeccably balanced, the 2002 is firing on all cylinders today. The creamy, layered finish is simply impeccable. This is a fabulous showing. In 2002 Opus One is 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, 3% Malbec and 2% Petit Verdot." AG Jun 2013
