Product Description

RP98 "The 2012 Quella (from a steep nine-acre vineyard in the eastern Vaca hillsides) has an opaque purple color, a gorgeous nose of white flowers, sweet blackberry and cassis fruit, and a touch of vanilla and graphite. Full-bodied, like its siblings, with great fruit extract, terrific purity and richness and high but velvety tannins, this wine should also benefit from another 3-5 years of cellaring and keep for 30+ years." RP Oct 2015

AG96 "The 2012 Quella is such a gorgeous wine. Dark, posed and also a bit reserved, the 2012 is in a great place today. The first signs of tertiary complexity are present, yet the 2012 remains quite fresh and vibrant for a wine of its age. Dark cherry, plum, tobacco, incense, cinnamon and dried autumn leaves all build in the glass, framed by bright acids that pull it all together. This is one of the best showings yet from the Quella."
