From an early age Michelle was destined for success in the wine industry. He was born at his family's estate, Châteu Le Bon Pasteur in Pomerol. His path led him to the University of Bordeaux, where he learned from legends like Émile Peynaud It was during these formative years that he met Dany Rolland, his future partner in the world of wine.

In 1985, the Rollands started their consulting business and ventured beyond French borders. They took their expertise to the far reaches of Italy, the United States, Chile, Brazil, and Argentina. Their influence rippled across the globe as they brought precision to vineyard managment and grape selection. Their wines were known for ripe fruit, structure, velvety tannins, and a subtle touch of oak.

In France alone, Michel Rolland was involved in about 80 wine-producing properties, earning titles like cellar master and oenologist.
