Château Lynch-Bages
This producer is located in the Pauillac appellation of the Médoc region in Bordeaux. The winery sits in the village of Bages and gets the first part of its name from Thomas Lynch, a Bordeaux merchant that owned the Château from 1749 to 1824. The Cazes family purchased the estate in 1939 where they brought the winery to new heights due to a selection of consistently high-ranking vintages
2005 Vintage!
The 2005 vintage has a rating of “legendary” and is at a good stage for drinking. All harvests, especially Pauillac, were successful with tiny, dense, and concentrated grapes creating balanced acidity and tannins in the wines. The colors were rich ruby and purple shades, and the aromas contained hints of smokiness and black currants.
Absolutely irresistible at 18 years of age, do not miss out on this stunning Lynch-Bages at 7% off! At just $213/bottle, this 2005 wine is an absolute steal! Buy and cellar, or even better Buy and Enjoy! Take home a 6-Pack in OWC and check out our other vintages!

Critical Acclaim
"Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2016 Lynch Bages comes charging out of the gate with pronounced cassis, chocolate-covered cherries, mulberries and menthol notions, backed up by scents of garrigue, tilled soil and a waft of tapenade. Medium to full-bodied, rich and fantastically concentrated, the generous fruit is superbly framed by firm, ripe, grainy tannins with tons of pepper, cinnamon and cloves layers coming through on the finish. Truly, a legendary Lynch Bages!" LPB Nov 2018

"Textbook, with mouthfilling and slightly gutsy black currant, fig and blackberry fruit flavors bound together by singed cedar, iron and tobacco notes. Features a tug of loam followed by a second wave of fruit through the finish. This is just starting to stretch out.—Blind '01/'03/'05 Bordeaux retrospective" JM for WS Dec 2017
