Summer Drinking St. Aubin White Burgs! Michelin 3-Star!
"Lamy is one of the great, not yet widely discovered domaines in all of Burgundy. Readers should do whatever they can to check out these fabulous wines."
Antonio Galloni for Wine Advocate Aug 2012
Lamy - 3 Michelin Star
"Sometimes I contemplate what I think might be the easiest way to make enemies in Burgundy: A Michelin Guide-style ranking, out of three stars, of the region's best domaines. Olivier Lamy would be one of three white wine producers in the Côte de Beaune to whom I would unquestionably award three stars." says William Kelley for the Wine Advocate.
PYCM - Pierre Yves Colin Morey - A Domaine!
The history of the Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey label, In resumé, this is the story of a négociant label that has become more and more of a domaine" William Kelley for Wine Advocate.
Both producers are located in the Côte de Beaune sub region of Burgundy. The vineyards are based in the holdings of Saint-Aubin which is a small village known for their top performing wine with both high quality and volume, and their famous neighbors, Chassagne-Montrachet. These producers are notable through their Premier Cru vines and dedicate most of their vineyards to Chardonnay varietal.
Saint-Aubin
The Saint-Aubin appellation was officially established in 1937 and received its Premier Cru title in 1977. Domaine Hubert Lamy was founded in 1973, but the family has a wine growing history that can be traced all the way back to 1640. Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey was founded in 2005 and due to its relatively young age as a producer, purchases premier cru grapes. As the Wine Advocate documents, "Some of the parcels whose grapes he purchases, he farms, as is the case with his Bâtard-Montrachet, Corton-Charlemagne and some of his communal Meursault cuvée. And sometimes, even if he doesn't farm the parcel, it's his team that picks at harvest time: this is the case for his Meursault Perrières. Purchased grapes, it's worth noting, are never vinified together with domaine fruit, so every cuvée consists of either one or the other."

Critical Acclaim:
"Aromas of fresh peach, pomelo and pear mingle with hints of smoke, wet stones and nutmeg, introducing Lamy's 2018 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Derrière Chez Edouard, a medium to full-bodied, satiny and concentrated wine that's layered and incisive, with tangy acids and chalky back-end grip." Wine Advocate Michelin 3Star ~ Lamy's 2018 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Derrière Chez Edouard
"With the 2013 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Derrière Chez Edouard Haute Densité, this cuvée takes another step up in quality. Lamy began retaining even more solids in his musts with this vintage, as well as crushing his grapes before pressing (which facilitates extraction from the skins). Wafting from the glass with aromas of pear, citrus oil, smoke, toasted nuts and freshly baked bread, it's full-bodied, ample and layered, with huge depth and concentration, racy acids and a long, resonant finish. This striking, seamless wine is just beginning to hit its stride." WK for WA Jun 2022
