Pichon Baron's vineyard is planted with 65% Cabernet-Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot. The Grand Vin is made with grapes from the oldest vines (80+ years) on the estate’s historic plots."This is a brilliantly run property year in and year out, and especially since the mid- to late 1980s has produced one of the top four or five wines made in Pauillac in virtually every vintage."
