Product Description
RP96 "Deep garnet colored, the 2009 Tor Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard Clone 337 (coming from F block in Beckstoffer To Kalon) slowly unfurls to reveal a wonderfully earthy/savory nose with notes of tilled soil, truffles, tapenade, tobacco and tree bark over a core of crème de cassis and plum pudding with nuances of raspberry preserves, incense and iron ore. Full-bodied, the palate is bursting with earth and mineral-laced baked black fruits, with a wonderfully plush frame and just enough freshness to lift the long, ferrous finish. 225 cases were made." "This is a dazzling set of wines from Tor Kenward and his long-time winemaker Jeff Ames. Frankly, I could have spent an entire afternoon delving further into these fabulous wines. The 2009 Cabernets capture the best qualities of this refined, polished vintage, but the 2010s, which I tasted from barrel, are potentially even better." AG for WA Dec 2011
