Product Description

DR95 "From a 2.59ha monopole of the domaine in Morey and fermented a bit more than half as whole clusters. The result is impressively dense, with a darker, plummy cast to the fruit and notes of bramble and garrigue. There is plenty of structure here, but also a surprising elegance and finesse. The wine comes together to a surprisingly persistent finish. (Drink between 2024-2049)" CC for DR Oct 2020

Allen Meadows for BurgHound writes, "Ripe yet agreeably fresh aromas include those of poached plum, spice, violet and plenty of newly turned earth wisps. There is a lovely sense of underlying tension to the fleshy and rounded medium-bodied flavors that terminate in a firm, mildly rustic and warm finale. This should repay a decade plus of keeping yet be approachable after 6 to 8 years if that's your preference." Jan 2022

William Kelley for RobertParker.com writes, "Christophe Roumier began picking on September 16, and his 2019s have turned out very nicely, reminding me of his 2015s at the same stage—though, if anything, they struck me as more vibrant despite their analytically somewhat higher alcohol levels. They're more vibrant, certainly, than the rich and muscular 2018s, some of which I took this opportunity to revisit in bottle. I've also included notes on several of Roumier's 2017s."
