Product Description
DR96 "A wine of great charm, still youthful but expressing fully its potential. 2006 had rain at harvest, leading to some dilution. Roumier did a very severe sorting in that year, and included less fruit as whole clusters than is today the case. The result has an expressive plummy fruit with notes of violets underscored by an earthy note. One senses the depth and power of Bonnes-Mares but this has opened up to show all of its charm. Not a vintage for long aging, perhaps, but today it provides much pleasure." CC for DR Jan 2021
WS95 "A touch of a vegetal element to the sweet cherry and woodsy spice flavors and a sinewy texture mark this red. It seems closed down now, with the structure dominating, but there's a smoldering intensity and energy that powers the long aftertaste. Offers both elegance and depth." 2009
