Product Description
1990 Domaine Ponsot Clos St. Denis - Allen Meadow's Burghound - Tasted: Oct 02, 2004: One of the great noses of the '90 vintage with simply stunning purity of expression and positively kaleidoscopic breadth with spice, earth, smoke, game and crushed herb notes all wrapped in black and still largely primary fruit. The big, rich, powerful, intense and sappy flavors are savory and utterly elegant with buried structure and buckets of mouth coating and palate staining s?ve that just go on and on. A great wine of considerable breed and class and while this could be approached now, it will continue to age effortlessly for at least another decade.
