RP98 "My favorite vintage of the vertical, Morlet's 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Coeur de Vallee is incredibly deep and intense, loaded with almost liquorous-smelling notes of cassis and plum. Full-bodied, ripe, creamy and plush, this wine really nails it, with a velvety-silky texture and enormous length on the finish. It's pretty amazing stuff that's delicious now and should continue to drink well for another 20 years."
LP98 "Deep garnet colored, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Coeur de Vallee needs considerable swirling before it erupts with powerful black and blue berry notes - cassis, blueberries, and blackberry preserves - giving way to hints of mocha, licorice, and crushed rocks. Full-bodied, rich, velvety, and so, so concentrated, it has beautiful freshness, leading to a long, long, long finish on this beautiful wine.
