VM95 "Palish red. Knockout nose melds redcurrant, cherry, blood orange, minerals, flowers and exotic spices. Juicy, suave and energetic, offering great finesse and inner-mouth perfume to the fine-grained red fruit, spice and mineral flavors. Manages to be both plump and weightless in the manner of the finest red Burgundies. Wonderfully fruity, round wine with a very long, subtly spicy finish that saturates the mouth. Today, the wine's firm structure and suave tannins are in the deep background. These 2010s are wonderfully perfumed yet understated wines." ST Mar 2013

Producer Note: "Etienne de Montille describes the 2010 vintage as one of "grand transparency and incredible aromatics. In my view the 2010s are the most transparent wines since 2002 and in fact that's the vintage that it reminds me of most. The '10s have everything that I personally enjoy in my wines but if I had to pick just one facet that I admire the most, it would be the wonderful sense of energy that they have. Even while young and backward, they're refreshing and attractive due to this vibrancy." BurgHound Apr 2012
