BH96 "A very fresh nose is just beginning to display a touch of secondary development along with cool black cherry and wet stone nuances. There is excellent volume but also absolutely beautiful delineation to the intensely mineral-inflected flavors that possess a highly sophisticated mouth feel, indeed this is pure silk. There is ample vibrancy to the mouth coating and massively long finish that displays none of the sometimes aggressive acidity found in the 2002 vintage. Interestingly there is so much mid-palate density that this could actually be drunk, and enjoyed now, though it should continue to improve. In short, this is one of the great wines of the '02 vintage." AM for BH Oct 2012
