This is also exceptionally ripe with a seductive nose of spicy black cherry trimmed in pure and subtle violet notes that complement the rich, textured and mouth coating flavors that drench and stain the palate in dry extract on the fresh and balanced finish. Good juice here and it's a qualitative choice between this and the Clos de Vougeot though note that the underlying characters are very different. This should improve over the next decade."
