RP 99 ~ End of July 2019, The Wine Advocate - Inky purple colored, the nose of the 2016 Materium Cabernet Sauvignon takes off and absolutely soars with incredible blackberry pie, warm blackcurrants, wild blueberries and kirsch scents plus underlying vanilla pod, milk chocolate, espresso and lavender suggestions. The palate is opulently rich and full-bodied, yet it has bold freshness and exquisitely fine-grained tannins supporting layer upon layer of perfumed fruit, finishing very long. 452 cases were made.
