VM94 "The 2015 Vosne-Romanée Les Chaumes 1er Cru is an absolute treat. It has all the tropes of Liger-Belair on the nose, quite sumptuous in style, with lush raspberry and crushed strawberry scents. Perhaps it might be considered too oaky for some. I suspect that will be subsumed with time. The palate is very well-balanced, and over an hour, it blossoms in the glass, evolving a disarmingly silky texture and then eases off the accelerator towards its slightly glossy finish."
