Product Description
RP100 "One-hundred percent Cabernet Sauvignon aged 20 months in 75% new French oak, the 2016 J. Daniel Cuvée Cabernet Sauvignon is deep garnet-purple in color and offers up exuberant notes of crème de cassis, chocolate-covered cherries, wild blueberries, violets and unsmoked cigars with touches of garrigue, fragrant earth, powdered cinnamon, black olives and tree bark. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is built like a brick house, with a solid frame of firm, grainy tannins and seamless freshness supporting the taut, muscular fruit, finishing long and minerally. 950 cases produced." LPB for WA Oct 2018
LP100 "Lail's 2016 J. Daniel Cuvee Cabernet Sauvignon is deep garnet-purple in color. It starts off a little closed and broody, needing a fair bit of swirling to bring out notes of chocolate-covered cherries, blackcurrant preserves, spearmint, and juicy plums, with suggestions of crushed rocks and truffles. The full-bodied palate is rich, ripe and totally seductive, delivering firm, fine-grained tannins and beautiful tension, finishing long and layered." LP for TWI Mar 2023
