NM95 "Tasted at a vertical at the property, the 1988 La Fleur de Gay has a fabulous, beautifully defined bouquet that instantly reminds you of Petrus. It really is that good! Very pure dark berries, a touch of oyster shell, wax resin and undergrowth that is so natural and graceful. The palate is medium-bodied with a supple but well-defined entry, very fine tannins and no, not quite in the league of Petrus here, but beautifully balanced and very natural.
