2000 Henri Gouges Nuits - Wine Advocate # 147 - Jun 2003: Medium to dark ruby-colored and sporting terrific aromas of flowers, shaved coconut, and blackberries, the 2000 Nuits-St.-Georges Les Vaucrains is a masculine wine with gorgeous density of fruit. Coffee grounds and black berries can be discerned in its firm, powerful personality. While it possesses the foursquare personality typically associated with Nuits, this effort has the depth and concentration to outlast its ripe tannin. Anticipated maturity: 2006-2012.
