Product Description
AG97 The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon is a wild, exotic wine. Kirsch, rose petal, mint, blood orange and soaring spice notes add to that impression of exoticism. Still very bright and fresh, the 2012 is a terrific example of the year. Lavender, rose petal and sweet red/purplish berry fruit lend inner sweetness to this gorgeous, utterly captivating Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2012 was made from both parts of the original estate. It is an utterly captivating wine. Dusty, chalk tannins support the long, beautifully persistent finish. For some reason, I did not taste the 2012 on release, but I am glad I tasted it now. What a wine!
JS 97 "Aromas of blueberry, blackberry, currants and hints of mint follow through to a full body. Ultra-fine tannins and a long, long finish. Has the subtlety and intensity of a wonderful vintage of Ch?teau Margaux such as 1996. But the purity of fruit of Napa. Fabulous finesse and depth." (July 2015)
