JS97 Solid structure in this wine for a 2017 with spice, tobacco, berries and hints of dark chocolate. Medium to full body. Velvety and chewy tannins. Creamy texture. Serious finish. Needs three to four years to come together.

Giving up lots of cassis, white flowers, graphite, and obvious minerality, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, nicely integrated acidity, and silky tannins. It’s a slam dunk of a 2017 that’s going to benefit from 4-6 years of bottle age and keep for 20 years or more.
