Product Description
RP100 "Deep purple-black in color, the nose of the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon slowly unfurls to reveal a gorgeous perfume of violets and roses over a core of kirsch, boysenberries and cassis, plus hints of redcurrant jelly and menthol, emerging into wafts of pencil lead and truffles. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is built like a brick house, featuring very firm, wonderfully ripe, grainy tannins and bold freshness to support the vivacious, tightly wound black and red fruit layers, finishing long and mineral laced. It's a stunning, evocative, singular wine that so beautifully captures the long, slow-maturing grace of the 2019 vintage." LPB for TWA Oct 2021
LP100 "The 2019 Eisele Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon has a deep garnet-purple color. It is a little closed and broody to start, giving notes of tar, black olives, charcuterie, and iron ore, before opening out to a gorgeous core of crème de cassis, blueberry preserves, and fresh black plums, plus touches of anise, violets, and underbrush. Full-bodied, the palate is so, so graceful with an intense level of black and blue fruit layers, supported by firm, very fine-grained tannins and alluring freshness, finishing long and perfumed." LPB for TWI
JD100 " I was also able to taste the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon, which is an utterly classic Napa Cabernet with its layered, expansive mouthfeel and majestic style. Red and black currants, savory herbs, tobacco, new leather, and pressed roses all define the aromatics, and it's full-bodied, with a deep, layered mouthfeel, an incredible salinity and minerality, and a gorgeous finish. It's pure class and elegance married with incredible Napa fruit. As with many 2019s, it already offers pleasure yet this should benefit from 3-5 years of bottle age and I wouldn’t be surprised to see it evolve for 30+ years." JD Dec 2023
JS100 "This is sophisticated and intellectual, with an incredible wall of fine tannins that take you deep down into the soul of the wine. Full-to medium-bodied, tight and soulful. Tar, ash and volcanic-soil flavors. White pepper, too. Great length. Shows the first-growth quality of the vineyards, harking back to the wines of the mid-1970s. From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification. This needs at least six to seven years of bottle age. Best after 2028." JS Feb
