Product Description

DR96 "For the seventh time since 1999, the domaine has released their Vosne-Romanée premier cru. Prior to this the grapes from these holdings were sold off, including small amounts of Gaudichots and Au-dessus de Malconsorts. According to Bertrand de Villaine, co-manager of the estate, the grapes from the 0.405 hectares in Vosne-Romanée Petits Monts used to go into Duvault-Blochet but are now bottled separately for French restaurants, with the difference made up by young vines from the grands crus to deliver a wine of impressive dark blackberry fruit and spice, with less obvious oak and better length and depth of flavour than the Corton – delicious! (Drink between 2025-2055)" Charles Curtis MW for DR March 2022
