Product Description

LP96 "A blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, 4% Petit Verdot, and 4% Merlot, the 1996 Dominus is deep garnet-brick in color. It has a very classical nose of warm cassis, baked plums, cedar, and pencil lead, leading to suggestions of candied violets, bay leaves, and black truffles. The medium to full-bodied palate is bright and intense, with finely grained tannins providing a solid backbone to the youthful black fruits, finishing long and savory." LPB for TWI Mar 2023

RP95 "A super nose of roasted coffee, chocolate, dried herbs, black fruits and kirsch is both intense and persuasive. The wine displays terrific richness, medium to full body, low acidity, a succulent, opulent texture, and superb purity. This beautifully made 1996 is one of the few wines that has successfully tamed the vintage's elevated tannin level. Impressive!" RP Dec 1998
