Product Description
RP99 "The star of my visit to Diamond Creek was the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Volcanic Hill, which shows awesome purity and length. Vanilla accents blackberry, cassis and plum notes on the nose, while the full-bodied palate is rich and velvety, leading into a tremendously long finish, bursting with classic Cabernet fruit. It could use a few years in the cellar to gain nuance, and it should drink well for two decades or more after that." JC Sep 2022
Diamond Creek, Volcanic Hill, Napa Valley
"Diamond Creek is one of Napa's historic producers, tucked into a hidden valley on Diamond Mountain at approximately 600 feet above sea level. Founded in 1968 by Al and Boots Braunstein, the couple pioneered the idea of single-vineyard Cabernets, bucking that era's conventional wisdom regarding blending sites and grapes. In 2020, Diamond Creek was purchased by the Rouzaud family, best known as the owners of Champagne Louis Roederer.
