Product Description
(Domaine Denis Bachelet Gevrey-Chambertin "Les Corbeaux" 1er Cru Red) There is still a deft touch of wood setting off the spicy, ultra-fresh and well-layered aromas of plum and black cherry liqueur along with plenty of earth character. There is fine size, weight and punch to the extract-rich and mouth coating flavors that possess a velvety texture on the powerful and persistent finale. Despite the presence of so much dry extract, the finish still evidences a slight austerity that reminds one that this is definitely a classic Gevrey from a cool terroir. For my taste, while this is certainly enjoyable now, you'll need to wait another 5 to perhaps 8 years if you wish to see it at its full apogee. Excellent.
