Product Description
AG100 "The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Lotus Vineyard is a total stunner. What a wine. Rich, sumptuous and enveloping, the 2019 makes a strong first impression and never lets up. There's tremendous density and power, but tons of layers and overall vibrancy that lend balance. Plum, mocha, licorice, espresso and a kick of new French oak build into the huge, sumptuous finish. As always, the Lotus has a bit more overt oak influence than the other wines, but it works well here." AG for VM Jan 2022
JD100 A perfect wine any way you look at it, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Lotus Vineyard is another full-bodied, structured wine from Dana, and it's certainly the most tannic of the 2019s. Inky hued, with a blockbuster nose of ripe black and blue fruits, chocolate, graphite, and leafy tobacco, it brings serious richness and depth on the palate, with lots of ripe tannins, flawless balance, and a great, great finish. This is every bit as good as the 2016 and belongs up with the greatest Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon out there. Give bottles 3-4 years and enjoy over the following three decades.
