Product Description
LP96 "Deep garnet in color, the 2011 Maya leaps from the glass with vibrant scents of wild blueberries, redcurrant jelly, and wild sage followed by hints of rusty nails, dried herbs, black olives, and underbrush. The medium to full-bodied palate is bright and youthful, with firm, fine-grained tannins and bags of freshness, finishing with a lively herbal lift." LPB for TWI Feb 2024
AG95 "The 2011 is a gorgeous Maya. It is maybe a bit light next to surrounding vintages, but still has plenty of depth and overall intensity. Black cherry, mocha, plum, spice, licorice and scorched earth flesh out nicely. The new oak is maybe a bit pushed for the wine's structure. At the time, Maya was done in mostly new oak, as opposed to about the 75% or so that is more typical today." AG for VM May 2022
