LP96 "The 1992 Cabernet Sauvignon is made from 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Merlot. Medium to deep brick colored, it slowly unfurls to deliver impactful notes of stewed plums, boysenberry preserves, and Christmas cake, leading to suggestions of cast-iron pan, unsmoked cigars, and tree bark with a touch of pencil lead. The medium-bodied palate has a rock-solid structure of firm, ripe, grainy tannins and bold freshness supporting the taut, muscular fruit, finishing with impressive purity and length."
