Product Description
RP98 "The 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon Tychson Hill Vineyard (a valley floor site planted on a slight incline north of St. Helena) exhibits an opaque purple color as well as a beautifully sweet nose of creme de cassis, licorice, lead pencil shavings and pen ink. A classic Napa Cabernet Sauvignon with sweet tannin, full-bodied power and gorgeous purity and intensity, it will benefit from another 5-7 years of cellaring and should keep for 30+ years." RP May 2011
AG98 "The 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon Tychson Hill has grown into an absolutely exquisite wine. Mature Cabernet aromatics and radiant Napa Valley fruit meld together in a super-expressive Cabernet laced with dark plum, gravel, spice and leather notes. For many years the 2001 was a tannic behemoth, but today it is much more approachable. Readers who own the 2001 won't want to miss it at this glorious peak. (Drink between 2021-2029)" AG for VM Apr 2023
Robert Parker writes, "Colgin, which is already a so-called "cult" wine, seems to have pushed the envelope of quality even higher ... as hard as that is to believe. As always, the truth is in the bottle ... in vino veritas." Published: Aug 30, 2002
