"Approaching full maturity, the sumptuous, fleshy, dark garnet-colored 1989 is a top success for Branaire. This flashy wine exhibits sweet raspberry and black currant fruit intermixed with some lead pencil, cedar, chocolate, and new oak. The wine is medium-bodied, supple-textured, and luscious.
