Product Description
2002 Bouchard Montrachet - Burghound - Tasted: Jul 01, 2004: Massive in every respect with full-on penetrating aromas of white flowers and fresh citrus extract followed by huge, oily, almost viscous broad and deep flavors that don't have the piercing detail of the Chevalier but display an extremely impressive and fine acid/fruit balance in their own right. This is a powerful, precise, intense, completely backward Montrachet of immense proportions that is altogether imposing in its sheer size and raw power. The wine is almost difficult to judge as one can sense the colossal reserve sitting below the surface but for the moment, this depth is only hinted at. A monument in the making that will live for 25 years, perhaps longer.
