JS99 "The depth of fruit in this is pretty extraordinary, with deep and dark fruit on the nose of blackberries, chocolate, ink pot, and dark chocolate. Precise and complete. Full-bodied with very fine and energetic tannins and fresh acidity. Red and black currants. Brightness throughout. Needs four to five years to open, but what a wine for the vintage." JS Feb 2023
LP97 "The BOND Vecina 2020 has a deep purple-black color. It zips out with vivacious notions of warm cassis, blackberry preserves, and juicy black plums, giving way to notes of wild sage, fragrant earth, and truffles. Full-bodied, the palate is tightly wound with loads of black berry and earthy layers, supported by ripe, grainy tannins, finishing on a lingering minerally note. Vecina comes from a vineyard in the western foothills of Oakville, just to the southeast of the BOND winery." LPB for TWI Apr 2023
