Product Description
JS98 St. Eden "Blue fruit, ink, plum and chocolate aromas. Full-bodied yet very framed and structured with dusty tannins that give a layered mouthfeel and a chewy finish. Solid core of fruit and structure. Needs four to six years to open." JS Feb 2023
DR97 It's a riveting wine from a challenging vintage. The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes come from a 4.4ha site on a knoll of the valley floor in Oakville with iron-rich fractured volcanic soils: wonderfully fragrant blackberry, graphite, and capsicum intertwine with tobacco notes and violet pastille. The fruit spectrum is unequivocally dark and lifted by a spine of racy acidity. Chiseled tannins give this medium shape to a full-bodied red. After a few seconds bright blood orange notes emerge balanced by saline-rich earth and mineral, perhaps even a hint of charcuterie on the extended finish." JC for DR Feb 2023
