Product Description
LP100 "Deep purple-black colored, the 2018 Vecina springs with notes of black raspberries, redcurrant jelly, and crushed blackcurrants scents, with hints of roses, cinnamon toast, and dusty soil. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is very fine-grained and elegant with tightly knit flavors and a perfumed finish. This is a real head-turner!" LPB for TWI Jun 2022
LP99 "Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2018 Pluribus wafts out with notes of ripe blueberries, black cherries, and cassis, plus hints of wild sage, pencil lead, and cedar chest with a hint of iron ore. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is tightly packed with earth and mineral layers, supported by fantastically ripe tannins and a lively backbone, finishing long." LPB for TWI Jun 2022
JS99 "Extremely aromatic and energetic with blackberries and essence of currants. Fresh and transparent. Full-bodied with dark fruit and some spice, inkwell and blood. Very structured and tannic, but balanced and polished. Undercurrent of acidity. Contrastive. Better after 2026." JS May 2021
AG98 "The 2018 Melbury is, as always, the first of the single-vineyard wines presented at Bond. The order is always the same: Melbury-Quella-St. Eden-Vecina and Pluribus. I suppose that makes sense from the standpoint of concentration and structure, but it is quite penalizing for the Melbury, a wine that is more about elegance than power or tannins. That said, the 2018 is not a shy wine, it certainly has plenty of depth. Freshness, energy and verve are the signatures in a Cabernet that is all about intangibles. Hints of dark red cherry, tobacco, rose petal, mint and sweet spice emerge over time. The whole is greater than the sum of the parts." AG for VM Oct 2021
JS98 "Blackberry and blueberry aromas and flavors with some conifer and stone. Full-to medium-bodied with firm, dusty tannins that are fine and intense. Clarity to this wine." JS Aug 2, 2021
