VM94 "The 2020 Meursault Genevrières 1er Cru leans towards a more reductive style on the nose with grilled walnut and light wax resin scents, gaining complexity as it unfurls in the glass. It doesn't possess the energy of Comte Lafon's Genevrières. The palate is forward and rich on the entry, slightly honeyed in texture with lower acidity, powerful and weighty in the mouth. After 20 minutes in the glass, it really delivers the complexity one expects from this climat. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting."
