"The 2012 Vosne-Romanée Les Hautes Maizières, which includes 40% whole cluster, has a similar colour to the 2013. It has splendid definition on the nose with red cherry and allspice aromas, just a faint hint of Earl Grey and later, tomato vines. The palate is medium-bodied with mainly red fruit, a fine mineral core conveying a sense of confidence and brio towards the satisfying finish. Just delicious, although it will benefit from another year or two in bottle." NM for VM May 2019
