Product Description

VM96 "The 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin Clos Saint-Jacques 1er Cru has an ethereal bouquet with dark cherry, blueberry, light wilted rose petal and shucked oyster shell scents. It unfolds beautifully in the glass, possibly the classiest and more alluring of the CSJ quintet. The palate is well balanced with finely-chiselled red cherry fruit intermixed with raspberry, crushed stone and a dab of spice. Harmonious through to the structured finish. The mineralité shines through this wine. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2018 red tasting. (Drink between 2026-2050)" NM for VM Nov 2022

BH95 "An attractively fresh nose features cool and relatively high-toned red cherry, pomegranate and hints of rose petal, the sauvage and humus, all of which is trimmed in admirably discreet wood influence. The mouthfeel of the precise, intense, equally fine and mineral-driven medium weight flavors is remarkably sophisticated, all wrapped in an impressively long and superbly complex finish that flashes focused power. This is terrific and should age accordingly as it's very firm and compact." AM for BH Jan 2021
