2023 Domaine Meo Camuzet, Richebourg Grand Cru, Bottle (750ml)

DR97 Méo's 2023 Richebourg is a wine on another level. Although closed initially, it opens on the palate to reveal a lovely, subtle, plummy fruit with accents of all smoke, mineral, and, of all things, nutmeg that brings a pleasant spicy note. The texture is elegant and silky, yet fresh and dense. The complexity comes directly from the two parcels: 0.04 hectares in Les Richebourgs and 0.30 hectares with three planting dates (the oldest in the 1950s). It will be best to give this wine a decade in the cellar before opening.
