Product Description
Jeb Dunnuck writes, "Not yet bottled, the 2022 White Wine Life & Death is rock star stuff, offering a rich, opulent, and yet complex profile. Honeyed orange, caramelized white peach, toasted spice, and flower oil nuances all define the aromatics, and this beauty hits the palate with full-bodied richness, a deep, layered mouthfeel, beautiful purity and precision, and a great, great finish. It's going to rank with the crème de la crème of the vintage." BT 96-99 Published: Aug 15, 2024
Lisa Perrotti-Brown for The Wine Independent writes, "The 2022 White Wine Life And Death is composed of 69.5% Chardonnay, 26.9% Roussanne, and 3.6% Marsanne from the Sanford & Benedict, Stolpman, and Bien Nacido Vineyards. It springs from the glass with notes of orange zest, white peaches, lemongrass, and lime leaves, plus a touch of chalk dust. The full-bodied palate is creamy textured with impressive tension and fabulous intensity, finishing with a citrusy lift. This was aged for 22 months in French oak barrels, 85% new. 575 cases were made. 480 cases were made." BT 94-96 Published: Sep 9, 2024
