Product Description

DR95 "This vibrant wine has expressive aromas of green apple, lemon peel, hawthorn flowers, and hazelnut. The texture is elegant and fine, with impressive freshness given the heat of the vintage that carries the wine to a rewardingly long finish. There are six barrels this year that come from an exchange with another vigneron. The wines are aged in older barrels with most of their lees but without stirring to maximise freshness." CC for DR Nov 2023

VM94 "The 2022 Meursault Poruzots 1er Cru is a little reductive on the nose, but there is concentration here, crushed stone and pressed flowers commingling with subtle jasmine and yellow fruit aromas. The palate is very well-balanced with a killer line of acidity. Taut and focused, precise and tensile, this is a superbly made Poruzots with commendable length and salinity. Excellent." NM for VM Jan 2024

Allen Meadiows For BurgHound writes, "Once again there is marked floral quality to the well-layered nose that speaks mainly of various ripe white orchard fruit, hazelnut and lemon zest aromas. There is both better volume and richness to the beautifully textured larger-bodied flavors that exude a subtle bead of minerality on the overtly powerful and seriously persistent if youthfully austere finale. Note that this excellent effort has the stuffing to repay a decade plus of cellaring. Warmly recommended." Published: Jun 2024
