JD100 Matching the 2018 and the second perfect wine I've tasted from the Third Twin releases, the 2021 Nuestra Senora Del Tercer Gemelo is based on 57% Mourvèdre, 14% each of Grenache, Graciano, and Syrah, with the final 1% Viognier. It was fermented with one-third whole clusters and spent 31 months in 41% new French oak. Sensational red and black fruits, graphite, sandalwood, pepper, and even some floral, exotic notes all give way to a full-bodied, incredibly concentrated, powerful red that has flawless tannins, a seamless, multi-dimensional mouthfeel, no hard edges, and a monster of a finish. This beauty marries sensational richness and depth with awesome purity, perfect balance, and remarkable complexity. It’s going to blow you away any time over the coming two decades.
