It has a beautiful core of darker red and black fruits as well as notes of smoked tobacco, chocolate, and spring flowers and has terrific purity as well as freshness. Medium to full-bodied, concentrated, and layered, it's a beautiful, elegant, layered Cabernet Sauvignon that will evolve for 30 years and be drinkable for almost all of it. 97+" Jeb Dunnuck, December 2023

LPB 96 "The 2021 State Lane Vineyard Estate Cuvee Cabernet Sauvignon, with 1% Merlot in the blend, is deep garnet-purple in color. It charges out of the gate with rambunctious notes of boysenberry preserves, warm cassis, and blackberry pie followed by nuances of licorice, dark chocolate, tar, and cardamom with a waft of graphite. The medium to full-bodied palate is bright and energetic, with vibrant black and red berry layers and a seductively soft texture, lifted by a refreshing line and finishing long and wonderfully pure. 350 cases were made."
