Product Description

RP97 From 2022, there will be a lieu-dit (1er cru) and a single-vineyard wine from La Breña in Villanueva de Ávila, but in 2021, there's only one wine from the single vineyard, the 2021 La Breña. It's a very pale and aromatic Garnacha that reminds me of the Las Umbrías from yesteryear (the 2016, 2018...), very floral and expressive. It feels more like a wine from the Valle del Tietar with a more Mediterranean nose à la Rayas, a little heady and with developed aromas and fine tannins. The palate is austere but gentle, showcasing finesse, with citrus, flowers, stony sensations and with light and brightness. Finesse and austerity á la Chambolle. 1,683 bottles produced. It was bottled in April 2023.
