2021 Bond, Melbury, Napa Valley, Bottle (750ml)

LP98 The 2021 Melbury is deep garnet-purple in color. It is a little closed and broody to start off, revealing notes of tar, underbrush, and fragrant moss over an emerging core of stewed plum and warm cassis plus a hint of Sichuan pepper. The medium to full-bodied palate is tightly wound with energetic black fruit and savory flavors, framed by firm, grainy tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing with a peppery lift.

JS98 Blackberries and crayon with pine needles, dark fruit and black truffles. Full-bodied with velvety, polished tannins. Juicy at the end with orange peel notes. Chewy at the end. Solid intensity.
