Product Description

DR97 "Most of Bruno Clair's large parcel of Bonnes-Mares is planted to old vines that stretch from the bottom of the slope to the top in Morey-Saint-Denis. This produces a wine with more weight than the perfumed Chambolle side of the vineyard, with a profoundly rich black plum and mulberry fruit that opens with time to show spice, mineral and saline notes. The initial impression is so velvety that only with time does one notice the massive tannic structure here. (Drink between 2029-2049)" CC for DR Oct 2020

Allen Meadows for BurgHound writes, "Discreet wood frames the relatively high-toned aromas of various red berries along with a plentitude of floral and spice wisps along with a hint of fresh tobacco. There is outstanding power and mouth coating dry extract present on the broad-shouldered flavors that deliver superb depth and flat-out remarkable length. This beauty is however quite firmly structured so ample patience is strongly suggested." Published: Jan 2022
