AG98+ The 2019 Madrona Ranch is flat-out stunning. Bright and intensely delineated, the 2019 dazzles with its brilliance. Red-toned fruit, mint, blood orange, spice and rose petal lend vibrancy. Madrona Ranch, usually quite the bruiser, is incredibly refined and nuanced in 2019, but that also seems to be a recent trend here, especially compared with the wines of a decade ago.
JD98 Coming from a site at the base of Spring Mountain, the 2019 Madrona Ranch is more medium to full-bodied and elegant, with an ultra-classic bouquet of assorted darker fruits, sage, leafy herbs, and sandalwood. I love its complexity, and it has power as well as elegance, followed by a gorgeous finish. It needs to be forgotten for 4-6 years and will cruise for over two decades.
