Product Description

WS96 "Notable for its purity, finesse and expression, this red exudes rose, strawberry, cherry and eucalyptus aromas and flavors, all underlined by a firm structure and mineral element. Balanced and charming, this cruises to a superb aftertaste. Best from 2025 through 2043. 650 cases made." BS for WS Apr 2023

LP96 "Burlotto's Acclivi is from their best plots and oldest vineyards in Verduno and is beautifully described on their website as 'a liquid postcard from Verduno'. It is produced only when the quality is good enough. The 2018 Comm. G.B. Burlotto Barolo Acclivi has aromas of strawberry coulis, a hint of incense, exotic spice and delicate violet notes that come and go. With more substance and concentration than their classic Barolo, this wine is concentrated but not heavy. It is sheer pleasure to drink with a lovely texture - super-silky, harmonious and refined. The very fine tannins are hardly present. There is a lovely freshness, fragrance and silkiness. Beautiful." SH for TWI Jul 2022

RP95 "The 2018 Barolo Acclivi is savory in character with crushed stone, dark herb and blackcurrant. This wine represents a blend of fruit from Verduno, including old vines in Monvigliero, Neirane, Bocato and Rocche dell’Olmo. There is a special softness and silkiness to the Acclivi that we see in this vintage just as we have seen it in past editions." ML for TWA Jun 2022
