Product Description
DR96 "Jean-Marc Roulot's Clos des Bouchères feels like such an established part of his range that it's hard to remember he's only been making it since it was acquired from Domaine Emmanuel in 2011. What a wine this is, showing chalky freshness, wonderful balance, effortless concentration and flavours of pear, citrus and kitchen spices." TA for DR Oct 2019
RP94 "The 2018 Meursault 1er Cru Clos des Bouchères has turned out beautifully, wafting from the glass with scents of crisp Anjou pear, green apple, dried white flowers, nutmeg and pastry cream. Medium to full-bodied, elegantly fleshy and enveloping, it's bright and precise, with a tangy spine of acidity and a long, penetrating finish." WK for TWA Jan 2021
William Kelley for RobertParker.com writes, "Jean-Marc Roulot began picking on September 5, and he has once again produced a beautiful set of wines. Muscular, concentrated and chiseled, they reminded me of a racier version of Roulot's very successful 2015 portfolio. On the subject of 2018s, which I revisited from bottle after harvest, Roulot explained last year that this was "our biggest crop since 1982—we produced even more wine in 2018 than in 1999!" That meant that Roulot was able to be selective at the press." Published: Jan 14, 2021
