Sweet red berry fruit, floral notes, spice and mint are all nicely lifted in this enticing, mid-weight Cabernet Sauvignon from Staglin. The 2017 offers lovely freshness and aromatic presence in a medium-bodied Cabernet that can be enjoyed with minimal cellaring. (Drink between 2022-2037)
JD94 Tasted from a core blend, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is promising. Medium in body, gracious and delicate, the 2017 is a surprisingly understated wine with lovely fruit purity, soft tannins and fine overall balance. The core blend represents only a portion of the total potential production, so I will not be surprised if the finished wine is even better. The future certainly looks bright.
